Setting the Corcon standard
At the heart of our team, we have three company-wide qualities that set us apart
Our reputation, superior product, and quality customer service means we work with private, corporate, and government organisations across Canterbury.
A transparent partnership - Being excellent listeners and working as a part of your team means we have your needs fixed firmly in our sights, and you know how things are progressing at all stages of the project.
We collaborate with you to reduce risk and avoid delays; so that building with us is an enjoyable, stress-free process.
Every step underpinned with knowledge - Working with experienced specialists means you get a tailored solution and a managed project with proven processes where we confidently remove the risks before they appear.
We do this by talking about potential liabilities upfront and outlining strategies so that you can feel confident all bases are covered once we start building.
Always in contact with the decision-makers - Smaller specialist teams get better results in a timely manner. Communication is enacted with more clarity as team members are directly connected with stakeholders.
We use transparent operations and proven processes to stay connected throughout your project. These tools and behaviours have helped us forge long-term client relationships with great people and brands who know we get the job done.
Our Leadership Team
At the core of every project is our team of industry leaders. Each brings specialist competencies and qualities to the table.
Our Core Values
Strong moral code
Operate with a strong moral code of conduct that incorporates honesty, empathy and respect.
Cooperate for the win
Ensure a win-win for all parties by offering our clients transparency and honesty. Value diverse opinions and create a space where everyone feels valued.
Form lasting connections
Treat each other with respect and, in doing so, build long-term, trust-filled relationships with our employees, suppliers and clients.
Health and Safety
Keeping our people safe and well is paramount
Corcon is SiteWise Gold accredited—the highest SiteSafe status—because we have empowered our staff with safe work methods through continuous coaching and formal training.
We have forged long-term relationships with great people and brands because of our commitment to improving Health and Safety in Christchurch's commercial and industrial construction industry.
Sustainability
We believe in future-proofing our buildings through clever construction and greener products like DonoBeam so that Cantabrians can enjoy our facilities for decades
The global construction industry is directly or indirectly responsible for 40% of worldwide carbon emissions*. Our key pathway to relieving adverse environmental impact is the exclusive portal system DonoBeam® from Coresteel Buildings.
Coresteel Buildings' expert engineers saw the opportunity to pioneer carbon reduction in the commercial construction industry. As a result, Donobeam® was co-developed in 2015 with BlueScope Steel, and has been used in over 200 New Zealand buildings.
Our exclusive DonoBeam® design from Coresteel Buildings uses fewer raw materials and is typically lighter, with high bending resistance and optimal torsional stiffness. These advantages grant considerable CO2 savings across the lifecycle of a construction project.
Research by Monash University shows that DonoBeam® lowers carbon emissions by more than 40% compared to conventional steel systems, decreasing the carbon footprint from your project materials, freight, and on-site construction.
Empowering Tamariki
From the sidelines at Tamai Sports Programme, you will see grinning faces, laughter, energy, and sparks as Christchurch East tamariki take on the challenge of learning new skills and working as a team.
The programme carries no cost to tamariki, whānau, or the schools involved.
